Each ingredient in Kirkman’s personal care line has been recognized as safe by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel in the manner used. The number of ingredients in each product formula has been minimized so as to limit the exposure of individuals to as few materials as possible. |

All cosmetic and personal care products require
some type of preservative system to prevent harmful bacteria and mold growth in the products. Often preservatives can cause sensitivity issues in individuals. Kirkman has chosen what we feel is the safest preservative system available to the industry. It is free of parabens and also free of formaldehyde releasing compounds, which are very typical in most personal care products. The Kirkman preservative system consists of a combination of sodium EDTA, a chelating agent which complexes mineral ions so as to prevent mold growth, and phenoxyethanol, a safe, non-irritating preservative which is non-reactive. Despite the ethanol portion of its chemical name, this preservative is non alcoholic in nature and is casein and gluten free. |
